Lawrence O'Donnell on Sarah Palin:
"She is a bridge to nowhere for the Republican Party, and there isn't a thinking Republican who does not know that right now."

1. What I dont understand is
If the top echelon of the GOP knows she will never be an important part of their party in the future, why dont they talk to their best buds in the MSM to stop covering her like a rock star?

She gets so much attention by the MSM (for really stupid stuff) that it sucks the life out of the few sane Republicans getting any airtime.

6. They will use her ....
She IS a good fundraiser. The fundies and the guys who think she is "hot" pay big bucks to see her, and the GOP will gladly take their money.

4. The only difference between Palin of 2009
and George W. Bush of 1997 is

a) the Bush name (and, therefore, the support of some part GOP power base)

and

b) Palin has more exposure in the national media

Otherwise, both appealed to the same nutjobs in the GOP base. Fortunately, Palin has been exposed NOW, not as a competent conservative Governor, but as a not very intelligent wingnut.
