Rep Phil Gingrey
Gingrey has depended heavily on political contributions from fellow physicians to finance his re-election campaigns. The American College of Radiology Association, Harbin Clinic, American Academy of Ophthalmology, and American College of Cardiology were among his largest contributors in the 2004 election cycle.

Gingrey has also received $30,000 from ARMPAC, former House Majority Leader's Tom DeLay's PAC. In the 2004 election cycle, ARMPAC was Gingrey's third largest contributor. After the Delay scandal, Gingrey returned all $30,000.

1. I had to swtich the channel when he started talking about how there
were really only about 8 million uninsured Americans. The rest, according to him, were either illegals or people who could afford to buy health insurance and didn't want to.

2. In some cases even the insured are essentially uninsured.
The policy I have at work (United Health Care) has a $4000 deductible. So unless I'm getting an operation or getting put in the hospital my insurance is worthless.

3. No doubt, this tool for the insurance companies was a real trip. . .

4. The Definition Of A Quack...
I can't see how this guy ever treated anyone with his lack of compassion and denial of science. He was one of DeLay's BFFs in the greed and gluttony years and now attempts to play a "moderate". Yet when he tried to tweak boss rushbo, when the whip was cracked, he yelped like a puppy. A total hack.
