Heads I win and tails I win seems to be the way our American capitalist system works for Wall Street elites in the banking industry. The system is rigged.
In the news today is the announcement that some of the banks that took TARP funds are very eager to pay these funds back. The reason for wanting to remove themselves from the TARP plan are obvious, the top executives do not want any interference from government in regard to paying executives outrageous salaries or regulations concerning the stacking of their boards of directors with folks that will rubber stamp anything brought before them without asking questions.
Quite simply, Wall Street banks are once again manipulating the energy markets to STEAL billions of dollars from cash strapped Americans. Analysts and traders in the energy market are scratching their heads wondering why the price of crude continues to rise in a market that should be seeing prices in the $40. a barrel range. The answer is simple! Wall Street banks are driving up the price of crude in OPAQUE energy markets to get money to repay TARP funds so they can avoid oversight by government regulators.
I could be wrong, but it makes sense to me after watching them operate the last few years.
