Ugh. P. J. O'Rourke on CBC radio, spewing anti-Global Warming propaganda
"Carbon dioxide is now supposedly a poison." "Global warming is a myth by people trying to grab power for themselves".

A totally oblivious jerk who believes it's every American's god-given RIGHT to drive whatever gas-guzzler they want with no pollution control devices whatsoever. He's even worse than Inhofe, if that's possible.

We're doomed as a species.

1. P. J. O'Rourke should have stayed at National Lampoon...
He'd be more credible than he is today and have a wider audience.

9. I used to love NatLamp magazine
I even liked PJ's writing. I had no idea he'd turn out to be such an ignoramus.

2. The proposed switch to running America's cars on ethanol terrifies P.J. and gives him the shakes
Edited on Wed Jun-10-09 09:51 AM by kenny blankenship
If you knew his personal life you'd understand why he clings to the petroleum based status quo, no matter how unsustainable it is economically or ecologically. Denying the reality of Global Warming is the first step in a 12 step program to free himself from the threat of ever having to free himself from alcohol dependence. When you say "Peak Oil Is Coming" or "Global Warming Is Here" or "Biofuels NOW!", P.J. envisions a dusty column of cars idling on empty--thousands upon thousands of thirsty cars in a line stretching over the blazing horizon--all queued up in front of him to get to the liquor store.

4. P.J. O'Rourke is an asshat and a blowhard. Pay him no mind......
Seriously. He's an empty shirt that only gets onto shows because of his bygone popularity.

5. It's sad to see someone afflicted with such a serious case of DMS
Dennis Miller Syndrome.

O'Rourke used to be very funny and he's a smart guy. I'm disappointed to see him still playing dumb to appeal to the Fox news audience.

6. It's a tie in to his book. He and Jon Stewart were waxing nostalgic about the old gas guzzlers last
week.

7. He's moved well past Assclown Status to purely pathetic . . .
Not only is he a pontificating blowhard, he's busily committing the worst of all sins a "satirist" can commit - he's NOT FUNNY. Not even remotely.

10. Yes, he desperately wanted to seem humourous
But fell on his face as our interviewer (Jian Ghomeshi of Billy Bob Thornton interview fame) incredulously kept asking "What do you mean by that?"

Beside his immediate family members, who knew?

And lets put 'Ol P.J. in a sealed room with a CO2 atmosphere and see how long he survives.
