Other people have said it and I agree.... I think the best way for the republicans to make a comeback is to purge the racists, homophobes, anti-semites, religious nuts, anti-government crazies, and other malcontents. They will lose the next 2-3-4 presidential elections, but they will be better for it.

But they can make an argument on principle and win down the line. They will also be better for it.

If they were to do such a thing, the backlash would be huge.

They've painted themselves into an incredibly ugly corner.

JimRob is in a bad position and it's all his fault. He has allowed his website to be used for the ugliest of purposes (starting with hatred). If he wants to find a way to clean it up (which I doubt) he will have to start with himself.

To climb in bed with the Christian Right and the Southern Racist back in the 80's primarily to use them as "vote-bots"...Now these two groups are basically one and own the GOP...I can't see who the GOP purges or cleans this mess up?

The Christian Right in this country is like a cancer on society! I just wish they would strip them of their Tax Exempt status and make things fair at least. They get the best of both worlds, which is a direct violation of our Constitution!

I would like to think if President Obama can hang on for 8yrs and he leaves the country in much better condition than it is now...Maybe another Democratic Candidate can be elected to follow him and by then the GOP will have been forced to restructure and the Religious right will have been severly disabled...I can dream, right?

I don't claim to know shit about the guy's politics. I suppose he could be a "Log Cabin Republican", but he's obviously not a fan of the extremist right wing agenda, like most other FAUX employees (and their viewers) are.

This is the straw that will break at Fox News. He's off the reservation, so to speak, and that won't stand for long.
