No feeding the homeless!!!!!!!!
only in South Carolina ....

Myrtle Beach area groups who frequently provide food to the homeless in city parks learned Thursday that they each will be limited to four in-park feedings a year.

City Council voted 6-1 during its meeting Tuesday to limit the activity. The decision came after a morning council workshop where there was heated debate on the topic.

Residents in the Withers Swash area had complained to the city about groups feeding homeless people there. One group, the Withers Swash Ministry, held weekly feedings there last year.

2. Totally disgusting that they're treating the homeless...like pidgeons.

There must be a need; if they had any compassion they'd be setting up mobile kitchens.

3. geeze, people freely feed pigeons in the park, but not homeless hungry people?
That is just wrong, they are treating these people like unwanted vermin, so sad.

6. perhaps the City Council should do their job and find them homes
although they may like the parks they should be given a proper home and food. This state can do better than that. It is appalling that we have people out on the street and parks. Maybe the big profit companies can chip in too since the charities are cash strapped?

8. that's what Jesus said to do.
remember that part of the Bible where he says to Peter; " Don't feed those hungry folks, let them pull themselves up by their bootstraps". Then he finished the whole message by saying something like; "it's better for a rich man to get into heaven than all those unwashed masses, they'd only dirty the streets of gold".

pssst, it's sarcasm folks. It just seems the deeper you go into the Bible belt, the less Jesus' words really meant.

10. So, feed them indoors.

Pick a church or community center or something.

Would that not make for better logistics anyway?
