1. Do you think the government plays this down to prevent widespread panic?
I mean, this white supremist crap may be so huge, it's all they can do to keep track of it, let alone prevent them doing whatever they plan.

2. No. I think they play it down because it's harder to demonize an
amorphous terrorist if you apply the term to people who look like you. Or to be more succinct, it's easier to demonize terrorists if you only apply the term to people of color.

5. Absolutely. After the KC bombing, there was speculation about Muslims immediately.
Kinda sucks, and does not fully protect American citizens from domestic terrorism.

3. Listening to the earlier news conference
the FBI guy didn't seem to have any problem calling this terrorism and specifically tying it to white supremacy. He repeated it several times. :shrug:

Now, the MSM needs to pick up this cue....
