Hold it wait.... I am being told...

Conservatives attack Shep Smith for his Holocaust museum shooting remarks, call for firing
44 minutes ago

SUMMARY: In response to Shepard Smith's remarks that the Holocaust museum shooting validated a recent DHS report on right-wing extremism, several conservative media figures have attacked Smith or called for his firing from Fox News.

During his June 11 radio program, Rush Limbaugh said of Smith's remarks: "For liberals to now claim that the atmosphere is somehow more violently anti-Obama is simply preposterous." Limbaugh also said Smith was "whining and moaning and complaining about emails." After stating that he, too, got "vile, sick emails," Limbaugh said, "Shep, you got nothing on anybody out there."

In a June 10 post headlined "Please Shepard Smith Out the Door!" on the blog Atlas Shrugs, conservative blogger Pamela Geller wrote of Smith -- who has also debunked the claim that in the DHS report, the Obama administration was targeting conservatives and others simply because they disagree with administration policies and proposals:

In a June 10 WorldNetDaily article about Smith's remarks, executive news editor Joe Kovacs suggested hypocrisy by Smith, writing:

In a June 10 post on HotAir.com, which was founded by Fox News contributor Michelle Malkin, blogger Allahpundit wrote that Smith made a "hamfisted attempt to draw a straight line between dopey 'Hussein' invective and the sort of decades-long dementia displayed by the Jew-loathing nut who pulled a shotgun in the Holocaust Museum today. (And who, by the way, hated neoconservatives generally and the GOP's last two nominees for president in particular.) I don't know how else to read this clip except as Shep warning America that his own viewership is teeming with would-be presidential assassins. If he truly believes that, why doesn't he quit? How can his conscience stand it?" From the post:

On her Twitter account, Fox News political contributor and radio host Tammy Bruce re-tweeted a June 10 tweet that said of Smith: "Can't see TV from here. Did Shepherd Smith get mascara in his eyes again?" Bruce added of the remarks: "LOL!!" From the original tweet by user "darthdilbert":

ON EDIT-Cavuto tried to fend off Smith's comments on the show immediately following "Studio B"
