Felony charges are dropped against one of the three men accused in what Waupaca County officials call a deer "thrill kill."

Investigators say brothers Robby and Rory Kuenzi and their friend Nicholas Hermes used snowmobiles to run down and kill deer last January, killing six.

At a motion hearing for Robby Kuenzi Thursday morning, a judge dismissed the five felony counts of mistreatment of animals causing death.

The Waupaca County district attorney didn't say why the charges were dropped.

OK, either Kuenzi turned state's evidence, or the DA's office seriously botched the case.
