Not saying they are any less dangerous..but focusing on who the enemy really was, seems to be paying off.. they are being herded into a less familiar venue,.

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Al Qaeda operatives are leaving the battle zones along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border and heading for Somalia and Yemen, where they have set up training camps, according to U.S. intelligence officials.
Somalian President Sheikh Sharif Sheikh Ahmed has been targeted by al Qaeda.

Somalian President Sheikh Sharif Sheikh Ahmed has been targeted by al Qaeda.

The officials believe that al Qaeda may see the Horn of Africa as its new headquarters after dozens of attacks from U.S. drones along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border.

The officials could not be named because of the sensitive nature of the information.

However, CIA Director Leon Panetta said the intelligence agency is keeping tabs the region as a possible destination for fleeing al Qaeda operatives.

in Pakistan and not against the United States. Words matter, and I think the election of Obama and his reaching out is starting to pay off, in just confidence by the people themselves. We are not looking like the enemy so much any more, and they can see the horrors of the al qaeda movement.

4. How convenient......
Corporations losing money to Somalia piracy, which they caused by dumping Christ knows what in the surrounding waters. Must find a way to get rid of the pirates..... Hey... let's turn them into the latest chapter of THE WORLD'S SCARIEST FICTIONAL FUCKING TERRORIST ORGANIZATION..

Geezus... people still buy this crap?

8. Corporations were actually quite content to pay those ransoms
That's actually why they are so well funded. All that ransom money from previous deals adds up.

9. Well, I think the important thing in this situation is that Pakistan is doing this themselves
under their own prerogative, rather than simply being forced by the American government to do it.
