Spilled Water-gate!

A staff member cleans up a glass of water that was spilled on U.S. President Barack Obama's desk in the Oval Office at the White House in Washington, June 12, 2009.

1. Why on earth would someone bother to
take a photo of some spilled water on the President's desk? I just don't get it. Just get the paper towels and wipe it up, for Jebus sake, and get on with the day.

15. The staff photographer takes photos of just about everything
and the press office decides what photos to release. The staff photographer is very good... but that is his job... to document everything

No more puppy accidents on the desk. Nothing more to talk about. Glad we were able to solve this crisis quickly.

12. I'd rather read about spilled water than hear about Palin or Bush Sr.
Yet again. Both those 'stories' have gotten hours of coverage today it seems and are non-stories as far as I am concerned.

Why not more coverage of the domestic terrorism? How Americans are still being denied rights to equal protection and marriage, being denied health care? You know, REAL NEWS?

18. There have been stories about Americans being denied equal marriage
We're being told to STFU and stop whining. I guess we should just enjoy the water spill and be happy we're not being hung or having our anuses glued shut like we would be in Iran.

23. This really sucks that more attention is paid to Poppy Bush taking a dive
Than to human rights violations in (or by) our country. Not to mention the latest Failin/Palin idiocy.

Equal rights for same sex couples, for women, for suspects no matter what their supposed crime - even terrorism. That is what I want my country to stand for.
