Say whaaaat?

Just got a call from a friend who was still catching her breath from inhaling some coffee at a local coffee bar.

Seems she was in the process of stirring her concoction when she was approached by one of the local "real" Americans. I should mention that her purse is completely covered in campaign buttons. Anyway, this guy demands to know how she can possibly support "that socialist." Then the conversation goes like this:

She says, "Define socialist."

"Huh?"

"Okay then, define capitalist."

"Huh?"

"Do you know what socialism is?"

"Oh, you just think you're soooooooo smart!" And he stomps off.







My friend is classier than I am. She inhaled her coffee when she laughed, I would have sprayed the place with mine.

made her think that maybe this nutjob would follow her home and assault her, her loved ones, or maybe just vandalize her place?

It is not for you to judge whether or not someone feels threatened and what they feel is the right thing to do about it.

The OP just relayed a story about a friend who used the perfect put down on a stupid tea bagger. That's what posters should be writing about.

Why don't you start your own thread on how brave you are and how cowardly others are. I'm sure you'll get a lot of responses to keep you happily responding to each with another insult.

All your friend had to do was ask questions and the guy proves his own stupidity.

After a while, it makes you ignorant.

Get them to actually debate an issue and all they can do is recite talking points.
I demand they defend their position intheir own words without using one Limbaugh, Fox, etc talking poiont.
