I can't believe the damage to those dorms, to say nothing of the way the students were beaten.

The coup-makers are afraid, you see, this is why they use so much force. They know they are wrong.

6. They've had them for eons. If they didn't use US ones, they'd use Russian ones.

That arsenal goes back to the Shah days--those things last forever and are easy to repair.

What makes me sick is that they are engaging in brutal violence against the students. Beating them. The fact that they are busting the places up is pretty incredible too. They want to intimidate, bully, and "cut out" the leaders.

I hope they find themselves up against a moral imperative they can't handle. I do think, though, that the country will be sharply divided as a result of this mess no matter what happens.
