So, why is this ok? --> "You know who deserves a posthumous Medal of Honor? James Earl Ray"
(confessed assassin of Martin Luther King). We miss you, James. Godspeed."

I don't see any "fire Limbaugh" rallys - never have. Oh, there has been some talk of boycotts.. but for some reason, like his hero George W Bush, Rush is unaccountably off limits. No wonder he thinks Reagan was the greatest President of the 20th century, he wears the very same teflon

Limbaugh quotes:

"If we are going to start rewarding no skills and stupid people--
I'm serious, let the unskilled jobs that take absolutely no knowledge whatsoever to do--let the stupid and
unskilled Mexicans do that work."

" I mean, let’s face it, we didn’t have slavery in this country for over 100 years because it was a bad thing. Quite the opposite: slavery built the South. I’m not saying we should bring it back; I’m just saying it had its merits. For one thing, the streets were safer after dark."

"Have you ever noticed how all composite pictures of wanted criminals resemble Jesse Jackson?"

"Look, let me put it to you this way: the NFL all too often looks like a game between the Bloods and the Crips without any weapons. There, I said it."

"The NAACP should have riot rehearsal. They should get a liquor store and practice robberies."

"Take that bone out of your nose and call me back(to an African American female caller)."

"Why should Blacks be heard? They're 12% of the population. Who the hell cares."

1. It's not ok, but the reaction depends on "which sides" of the class war and culture war you are on

2. Honoring the assassin of Martin Luther King jr, goes beyond class or culture "wars",
it squats it's ugly haunches in the muck of blatant RACISM.

7. you know, there is still some lingering controversy about that assassination, and
the King family did support James Earl Ray's right to a retrial, but he died before that ever came to pass. As I understand it, the surviving King family believed Ray's story that he was not only not alone, he was not the gunman... if you look up news stories from April-May 1998 or so you can read more about that.

5. Where is what from? the quotes?
The quotes can be found anywhere .. just google "Limbaugh quotes" I used the racist quotes because that was my point.

How in the world could anyone think an anti-racist, anti-Limbaugh post could come from freeperland?

6. It's obviously not okay
But liberals and progressives aren't a patch on the repressive right when it comes to ginned up "outrage" and ersatz "concern." We also have a slightly better comprehension of what the First Amendment means.

14. The first amendment doesn't have anything to do with it,
unless you are talking about him being banned by the FCC or something like that.

8. It is amazing that OxyRush is anything but a pariah in America
That the mainstream media actually seeks out Limbaugh's views on issues of the day is simply astounding. Racist morons are easily found, but it is sickening that some of the most prestigious news outlets in America routinely overlook Rush's documented racist past and insert him into the national discussion.

I would also venture to guess that the majority of folks in America really have no idea just how racist and extreme Limbaugh's views are.
