GOP strategist calls for Republican to be fired over racist email

Republican strategist Ron Christie told CNN�s John Roberts that a Republican staffer in Tennessee should be fired for sending an email depicting President Barack Obama as white eyes on a black background.

Many are upset that Sherri Goforth, an aide to state Sen. Diane Black (R-Gallatin), was only given a written rebuke for forwarding a picture from her statehouse account that depicted all the presidents but included President Obama perceptible as only a pair of googly cartoonish white eyes.

Goforth told a Tennessee blog that sending out the email was a mistake.

5. I would not have been surprised

to see that email end up in my inbox. I had a cousin-in-law who would forward me every anti-Obama racist piece of shit she got from her rw racist friends. I finally severed ties with her.She defended herself and her friends by telling me that they were all patriotic people who loved God and their country. Yeah, right. Sending out racist emails is so patriotic.

Goforth only thought it was a mistake because someone called her on it.
