Just by him being a Republican means that every effort he has ever made in the public arena has been to harm poor people and the middle class, and to help the rich. I am sure the affair is nothing compared to wretched things he is partially responsible for through his votes in public office. He's also a born again, and their intense hatred of gays and women (and minorities, though they try to hide that) is a worse deed than hurting his family through this affair.
