Stood in line, got a hell of a sunburn in Hawaii (our Island only got 20 units) waiting for the first IPhone, have enjoyed it much, BUT if they think I can swing $700 for a new version they're nuts..

Love the "AT&T Subsidized your last phone" BS.. I signed a two year contract, the asshats.

Then my phone dumped down a few hundred in weeks, got a Rebate but it was only redeemable in Goods at the Apple Store, not even for music.. Then while upgrading to 2.0 my phone got wiped, with the number to my Apple credit now Gone from the phone, still had $50 in credit, bye bye..

My wife is updating to 3.0 now, I'll be writing all my contacts down first, ain't gonna go thru that again :)

After some waiting because of overloaded servers, not too bad...

Seems cool. Lots of nice new features, including the global search, landscape for mail and MMS, some other neat things too. On Macrumors.com forums, there's a thread with the "hidden" features; that is, the smaller useful features that aren't widely publicized.

Best new feature is probably cut and paste, though I haven't had a chance to use it yet.
