1. The YOUTUBE URLs in that post are all bad--they go to a YOUTUBE account that
has not been used in two years.

5. The end of the tape has the part from the debate, where Ahmadi
sneers at Mousavi, and picks up this ... FILE... and waves it, and starts talking nastily about Mousavi's "hanooom" (wife). You don't even have to speak Farsi to see what is going on there--the suggestiveness and intimidation--it's just ghastly.

The meglomania is plain, too.

So's the resemblance to a certain American politician who shall remain nameless!

4. Did anyone see/hear the Iranian guest on one of the talk shows
late last night.

I woke up to hear a man talking and saying that both of the politicians in Iran fighting for power are equally as corrupt.

Is that true?

6. Who was the guest? Reza Pahlavi, who wants the throne for himself?
Reza sees himself as "Shah in Exile." He is the son of Shah, and of course he would see both as corrupt.

Did the guy look like this?

As to your question: One wants a continued state of war and strife, where he loots the oil money to use as bribes to pay off the serfs, and lets the economy spiral into a mess.

The other wants to get ahold of the economy, straighten it out, open up Iran to other nations, encourage development and more openness, and take Iran on a path of diplomacy as opposed to war.

Neither politician is a saint but there is a plain difference between the two. Both came out of the Khomeini revolution. One is a meglomaniac, the other one appears to have mellowed, and favors a return to a more assertive role by Iranian women in society (he campaigns with his wife).

If I were making the decision, like Scalia, I would choose Mousavi.
