Embassy Suites (a Hilton hotel chain) pulls ads from CBS website over Palin joke

Embassy Suites, part of the Hilton Hotels Corp., pulled advertising on CBS' site because of complaints, company spokeswoman Kendra Walker told TVGuide.com. The company was not an advertiser on Letterman's show.

"We received lots of e-mails from concerned guests and we assessed that the statement that he made was offensive enough to our guests and prospective guests that we elected to take the ads down," Walker said. She declined to release the cost of the ads.

Oh the shame! Guess I won't be contributing to Paris Hilton's inheritance anymore. Not as drastic as Olive Garden pulling TV ads, but still. Caving to the Palin pressure. I'll just have to stay in locally-owned non-corporate places where you actually get to meet the owners. How will I manage?

2. Not quite accurate
Embassy pulled their online ads from the CBS website. They did not have any advertising scheduled during Letterman's program.

4. Blood in the water.
These anti-Letterman organizations got Olive Garden and now Embassy Suites. They'll continue their threats to boycott until sponsors rely more on us than them.
