a lesbian in the army.

has been in a secret long-term relationship with her partner.

gets married to her partner's father for the marriage benefits.

just found out this is what my sister did secretly a few months ago.

is it safe to assume that she is pretty fucked if the army finds out?

5. I've known plenty of gay men and lesbians

who have gotten married for the benefits, although not many who were in the armed forces. It's a shame that people have to be dishonest in order to get benefits that should rightfully be theirs. There's no telling what the military would do if they found out about this. I hope they don't get caught.
