Google Michelle Obama
...and tell me what the hell is going on with that Wikipedia link? Why would that Michelle Dowd quote be the only thing listed there? Is there some way to edit the wiki to make a more appropriate summary appear when Googling her? I dunno, something more FACTUAL perhaps? Anything?

Sorry if this is the wrong place for it, but that REALLY pissed me off just now and I had to share and see if there's some way this can be fixed.

1. Wiki is NOTORIOUSLY unreliable for anything/anyone remotely controversial. Ignore it. nt

2. That's pretty amusing considering the issue is with Google.
Wiki does not decide which bits of preview text are displayed by Google; rather a computer does. The emphasis on the Maureen Dowd quote may just be a function of how many people have linked to or from that segment of the Wikipedia page over time, as measured by Google's crawlers.

3. That's interesting.
I would have thought it might be something like the fashion section that would get more hits.

4. My guess would be the positives are spread evenly
whereas the negatives may be concentrated (eg on that quote and the succeeding section). Google evaluates the intensity of coverage over the extent, hence 'google bombs'.
