1. It's hilarious watching the hypocrites
Fugg the corporate media. I hope they report the protests for health care.

7. Our Protests Were Too Peaceful
The teevee wants pictures...preferably of people setting fire to things or getting their heads split open...the more chaos, the better it sets whatever narrative they're yanking at and catches their attention.

Also, these protests are considered illegal...as repressive as the booosh regime was, people could still take to the streets and protest...doing so in Teheran today could mean putting your life in your hands...a big, big difference.

8. Did you see such coverage of the Miami FTAA, for example?
Maybe a quick blip between the Britney Spears and American Idol reports.

Compared to the herding and beatings I personally witnessed these vids are tame.

9. Pot meets kettle ~maybe someone can remind CNN
Edited on Sat Jun-20-09 09:46 AM by goclark
regarding the news blackout here for the GW election and his crowning.
I only recall seeing one tiny bit of footage of someone throwing egg at his car.

That footage was quickly destroyed and let's not forget our "Supreme" Court.

11. "That footage was quickly destroyed"
if memory serves correctly, i believe that footage will live forever actually--it made it into Fahrenheit 9/11. that's where i first saw it. i never saw it on the tv.

12. I saw it on tv when it happened but only once!

Maybe someone would like to remind these commentators of Michael Moore's excellent film.

13. I remember one part of the Bush43 "election" coverage
where a question essentially was asked "Did you change the absentee ballot?", and the Repuke said "YES!" (in a "HELL YEAH!" attitude).

No charges ... the video disappeared into the wasteland ... along with Rush Limbaugh's statement in the days before the election, where he was saying that "If Bush wins the popular vote but loses the Electoral College vote, he can challenge the election in court."

10. There is only one positive
I can see. The American people are starting to realize they are being duped. Just like our Iranian brothers and sisters. Eventually most of us will come to realize that our government does not represent us. No matter how well they disguise it people will start to see through the propaganda.
