Just got this on email: Twitter, Iran alert for Twitter
'If you're on Twitter, set your location to Tehran and your time zone to GMT +3.30. Security forces are hunting for bloggers using location/timezone searches. The more people at this location, the more of a logjam it creates for forces trying to shut Iranians' access to the internet down. Cut & paste & pass it on.'

Is it possible to spoof a Tweet (ie make it look like it's coming from one location, when really it's coming from another)?

5. Probably not for long
but it helps if you don't do it in the evening hours in the US, the wee hours in Iran.

My own hand has been light, linking to first aid and things like that.

I really don't like Twitter as a medium. That 140 character limit severely hampers a blatherskyte like me.
