Several dems from the valley really went after Catalucci and Figuley. The second letter is mini-me Figuly's response.

1. Keep speaking out!
Your voice is important and valuable. Your attitude is great. It's not easy to be attacked - even by morons! Someone has to be bold and stand up and you seem like just the guy to do it. Bravo!

4. Why do these simple-minded fools think Free Speech is protected
by the military, and they need to be thanked for it?

The First Amendment is protected by all of us, every citizen of this nation.

If they think they have 'special' rights just for serving in the military, or their service counts for more than it was, they are dead wrong.

We all have the right of Free Speech. We were born with it as citizens of this country.

6. That's all they have left
They think we're all going to stop mocking their bigotry and hate because they were marines. Hell, my dad was a kick ass paratrooper in WWII but he was a left leaning liberal democrat who cried his eyes out when JFK was killed.

These hate mongers think that being in the military is just for republicans. Assholes.

8. Dad has Chinese lead in his ass from Chosen.
He's eighty, but would still spit in the eye of these political troglodytes.

Kennedy Democrat right down to the sole of his shoes.

Dad has a framed picture of John F. Kennedy in the living room, signed "To my very good friend Dennis S. XXXXX, thanks for the contribution, John F. Kennedy."

From when he was running for Senator.

Dad's a New England Irish kid.

9. He sounds like my dad, a New England Polish boxer who lied about his age
and joined the military at fifteen to serve his country. Stayed in four years, got shot jumping out of a plane twice, witnessed his best buddy get shot through the head ina foxhole in the Philippines and suffered from shell shock his entire life after that. But STILL was against the death penalty and supported every liberal cause there was at that time.

11. I tell them I too serve my country as a teacher
And I am certain that even the toughest asshole Marine wouldn't last a day doing my job. I also usually mention I have been serving my country for 30 years and without me our kids would grow up not even knowing what the first amendment is or why it should be preserved.

That usually shuts them up.

5. Well obviously . . .
If you're not a veteran, you don't "deserve" the right to speak freely, you American scum.

At least Mr. Figuly acknowledges that people who disagree with him are still Americans. But see, he was in the service only for Mr. Catalucci. Who was in the service only for Mr. Figuly.

Catalucci owns and runs The Lobster Trap on West Side Road. Two of my friends who worked their quit because of the trash talk in the kitchen about Obama and liberals.

15. Then that is not retired.
Retired military is a specific designation and implies a list of benefits, including a pension and medical care.

16. Well, hubby was drafted (Berry planned) during Vietnam and his designation
is Major, USAF (Retired). But I'm no expert. Maybe only officers were eligible for that designation.

19. My Grandpa served in the 2nd division under Pershing in WW1
He saw a lot of action in the AEF, worked the trenches, got gassed and lost some fingers... He came back to Chicago and the depression hit... He was an unemployed carpenter, built his own furniture and participated in the Bonus March on DC, heard Smedley Butler speak... He was a patriot, in the 30's he joined the communist party and my dad, as a kid, met their candidate for president in 1932...

My dad served in the navy in WW2 and my son is currently in the reserves...

F em all who think their service gives them free reign to back stupid policy
