Rollcall: I called about the public option today, did you?
Edited on Mon Jun-22-09 12:09 PM by Lorax7844
I called ALL of these people today about a strong public option. Check in and recommend if you have called congress about a strong public option today. You have no right to bitch about Obama and the health care plan unless you work to make it what we all want and need.

Here is slinkerwink's top rated diary at dailykos:
http://www.dailykos.com/story/2009/6/22/745433/-Please-Call-TODAY-For-A-Strong-Public-Option!

Here are the talking points.

That you DO NOT want the 7-year trigger for the public option and take it off the table.
That you support an affordable strong, robust Medicare-like public option.
The we NEED a strong, robust Medicare-like public option NOW OPEN TO ALL AMERICANS AND AFFORDABLE.
DON'T TAX OUR EMPLOYER HEALTH BENEFITS. (OMG this would piss off everyone)
TELL YOUR SENATOR NO ON THE SCHUMER COMPROMISE AND NO ON THE CONRAD CO-OP COMPROMISE.

Why are democratic Senators trying to make the public option expensive and ineffective? I know the answer but still.

From Slinkerwink
______________________________________________________

CALL Senator Dodd at (202) 224-2823 and ask him to put in OPTION A, which is the strong, robust Medicare-like public option, NOT OPTION B, which is the Conrad co-op proposal, in the markup on Monday.

I also have emailed them and even written postal letters.
