Tweet, tweet...

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB124562668777335653.html

I wonder how many Iranians who communicated with the outside world using Twitter will end up on the Mullahs' "Red List" as a result of this "revolution". http://online.wsj.com/article/SB124562668777335653.html">What better way to uncover your enemies than by fomenting a revolution and then http://www.etruth.com/Know/News/Story.aspx?ID=486307">collecting the data sent via a newly popular social networking service like, perhaps, Twitter, to discover those who might seek to remove you from power?

Additional questions might well be, who is the fomentor? And, what is the real result of the Iranian elections? Who had the contract for the voting machines? How does one rebuild a wrecked economy? War? And, if we were to go to war with Iran, it would not do to have a change in Iran for the better before said war can be waged, would it? Ridiculous? Maybe.

I was watching Col. Jack Jacobs, I think, on MSNBC yesterday morning and he was asked what would happen to Iranians discovered to have assisted in the uprising or who used communication vehicles like Twitter to violate the media and communication black-out imposed by the Iranian government. He said, quite frankly, "They'll disappear and no one will ever see them again."

3. Uhm, they can sniff based on IP.
The whole "change your location" thing is kind of amusing to folks who actually know how this stuff works. You can't change your IP to be inside Iran, and still get any traffic.

7. I don't think the turbanites expected this response.
To suggest they thought they could rig an election and get info when the people took to the streets assumes they knew this would happen. They're freaking out right now, trying to figure out how to stay in power.
