Put BlooInBloo Down As One Who Has No Problem Whatsoever Mocking The FUCK Out Of Sanford.
I respect others' tenderer (than mine) hearts, but I think he's just full of shit, horny, and saying pretty much anything to get a piece of that hawt Argentine tail. To hell with that homewrecker (him), and I look forward to all that's coming to him.

That is all.

6. I'll sit right down with you on this one.
You know, I think it's entirely possible he does suffer from some issue like depression or anxiety or bipolar disorder (the impulsive behavior is a big red flag for the latter). But you know what? Those of us in the lower-middle-class, the working class and the working poor don't get one red penny of slack for these problems.

He's a fucking state governor. He fought his ass off to NOT get federal funding for his state, which proves he couldn't give a flying fuck about the people who might need that help. He has great big responsibilities, and he gave them all the finger. What if a disaster had happened while he was gone and even his Lt. governor didn't know where he was? Pa-thetic.

And I don't live in SC, so comedy is tragedy at a distance. But hmm....I do live in Illinois, and the Blagojevich train wreck was pretty horribly funny in its way too....Maybe I'm just a cold smartass. I can live with that.

gall to try and tell other people who they could or could not love.

I don't care about the letters. That's an unwarranted intrusion unless
he misappropriated public funds in his affair

10. (ahem)....
http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2009/6/24/746355/-Did-taxpayers-fund-Sanford-affair

"Earlier today, Mark Sanford told The State he went to Argentina about 18 months ago on a taxpayer-funded Commerce Department trip.

Sanford, in a brief interview in the nation's busiest airport, said he has been to the city twice before, most recently about a year and half ago during a Commerce Department trip.

So he had an affair with a woman from Argentina, and he recently visited there on the taxpayer dime.

According to Sanford's travel reports, he spent $21,488 on a trip to Brazil, Argentina, and China. However much of that can be allocated to his trip to Argentina, it still means taxpayers likely spent thousands on his affair.

Wow.

In addition, Ben Smith notes two taxpayer-funded trips to Argentina made by Sanford in the mid-1990s, though Sanford indicated he met the woman with whom he had the affair eight years ago.

and then what he's done to his family, I find myself disinclined to work up much, if any, concern about him doing that.

EDIT: And I can mock him perfectly well, living or not.

20. Two ways to view it, I guess.
One, they have mocked our guys who got caught, so why should we be any better than them.

Two, another of our guys, maybe even Obama, will get caught one day, so why use this as a weapon when it will just bite us back one day.

I just don't like schadenfreude, I guess. It's not about a tender heart, it's just a shallow, empty emotion that always bites back.

31. Because of his long history of smug soap box religiosity
and his attacks on Bill Clinton. And most of all for being yet another of the Defenders Of Marriage who has railed about his deep feelings about 'one man, one woman' and alleged that his bigoted agenda was not just his own, but generated by a Divine Being for whom he speaks.
Because he used marriage as a political devise to promote the prejudices of his small mind and atavistic religion, it is fitting and proper to use it as a political device when he offers up his own marriage in full train wreck mode. He is the one that laid snare that hung him.

37. By all means, let's trash the guy.
I don't think it's the right thing to cheat on your partner, particularly a spouse with whom four kids, but normally I wouldn't see marital infidelity as a reason to harangue a public official, but simply a matter for private, personal disapprobation -- just as I wouldn't change doctors or auto mechanics over their marital issues. But all things aren't nearly equal here. Sanford is a political moralist, an advocate of Christian values in government, and to the extent he's touted Christian values as a reason for electing him, he condemns himself as unfit for office by failing to live up to them. He said Bill Clinton and Bob Livingston (former Louisiana Republican congressman, briefly House Speaker between Gingrich and Hastert) should resign over affairs, so he's hoist on his own petard, and we're overly soft if we beg to spare him the harsh consequences he demanded for others.
