And what's that shit about "Urdu poetry?"

Dept. of internationalism

Forget the Urdu poetry. President Obama going to the World Cup, adopting a sport -- soccer -- that never quite caught on here:

FIFA president Sepp Blatter ... told a media briefing: "The World Cup in Africa will go well, there is no doubt.

"And the man who said, 'Yes we can do it' will be there. President Obama has accepted an invitation to the opening ceremony.

"Of course, the schedule of heads of state can change, but he has said he will be there if he can."

1. This is another example of why I so love our President Obama
He looks up to, maybe sideways at but never down on anyone. A good man he is

2. Freepers are so terrified of learning anything new
The idea that there is anything they don't know about contradicts the idea that they don't know everything.

3. It amazes me that "soccer hasn't caught on" in the US.
Are these people really that deep in sleep?

4. It's an absolute nightmare...
....those colored people who took over South Africa from those charming Afrikaaners, running the world championship of those other countries' national sport. And the Amurkin president in the middle of it all! It's a veritable 'People We Don't Like' two-fer!

The only thing worse would be if there was suddenly a NASCAR venue on the Berkeley-Oakland city line. Run with hybrid cars. Driven by Mexicans. Illegal Mexicans. Illegal Mexican women drivers. And Obama riding in the pace car.
