I didn't know Dennis Weaver died , man .
He was always one of my favorites , even though it was 1971 when he played in The Dual , somehow it seems like yesterday or a million years ago .

I was talking about him the other day and my wife told me he died , realy blew me away .

I am not religous however if there is a place where all the souls go it does seem like the best people are all there now and the worst still live on forever .

Now we are faced with SOOOOOOO many problems I don;t know how much longer I want to hang aroud to see how this horror all pans out , I am at the point of not caring anylonger .

4. "There ya go..."
When I was in Taos one time, somebody told me he had a ranch around there. Talk about life imitating art...

22. I'm almost sure they memorialized him during 2007's Academy Awards.
That was in March of this year.

Unless I am remembering it from 2006 -- not so sure now.

Don't you mean "Ron Howard's creepier little brother?" ;)

That was Clint Howard.

7. I'm sure that he meant the 1971 movie, "Duel,"
which starred Dennis Weaver. A very memorable film, to be sure. And it also resonated with me because the speedometer and dashboard of the car he drove in the movie, which was shown countless times, was identical with that of my first car, a 1971 Plymouth Duster, that I inherited from my mother and was the best car I'll ever have. :-)

13. That (Duel) was an all time favorite of mine.
That '55 Peterbilt was out to get him.

24. My beloved uncle was a truck driver with Safeway
and my cousins had him watch it once while I was there.

After that, he knew why some people would just pull over and let him go. This was in the early '80s; he'd never seen the film before.

GREAT movie.

18. Read the book in junior high.
Better to read it first, then see the movie.

23. I saw that house, north of Telluride
when it was nearly finished. Still piles of old tires around and also cans (both of which were used in the construction--wasn't piles of "trash")

I was really interested in how it was constructed, as I'm from the land of adobe houses, and this seemed like a really good alternative. I never heard much more about it.

21. If I had $3, 300,000 dollars, I don't think I'd want it... thanks for the link.
Beautiful surroundings, gorgeous home... but I would need three-in-help or more to keep it up.

Naw, finding ourselves definitely in a divestiture mode for me and hubby.
