Mark Sanford: The questions we should be asking aren't "Who is She?" but "Who Paid for it?"
Edited on Thu Jun-25-09 02:48 PM by LynneSin
First and foremost I hate the hypocrisy of the Right-Wing Christian Nut Jobs. If they read their bibles they would know that Jesus never once condemned homosexuality but he did point out that the 10 commandments were laws we should obey, which includes "Thou Shall Not Commit Adultery". The 10 Commandments also include another commonsense law everyone, not just Christians, should abide by - "Thou Shall Not Steal". The question that the media and the voters of South Carolina should be asking isn't who the woman is but how did Mark Sanford pay for these trips to Argentina. If he used even a dime of the tax dollars of South Carolinians then this is a search breach as a governor and a clear sign of impeachment.

1. Amen
That is the BIG issue - if he used tax dollars to fund the trips to his mistress, he will likely be forced to resign. No need to get distracted with his hypocricy, lies, etc. (though entertaining). It is the use of State funds and abandoning his post that should take him down.

2. The only REAL issues are him going AWOL and any issues around the use of public funds

The infidelity is not a crime, nor is it a major factor on wheter he should remain as governor. I think the fact that he went AWOL is more than enough for him to resign. And if he used public funds to travel, that's a major issue too.

3. The Three Horsemen ("Lie," "Cheat," and "Steal") seem to ride together.

4. Ironically the sins that Jesus actually talked about
But they're more concerned about sins never discussed in the Gospel like Homosexuality and Abortion.

:grr:

5. The "Old Testament 'Christians'" just don't seem to BELIEVE what Jesus said.
The appalling weakness of such "faith" is hardly persuasive.

6. Or better yet they worship all things Paul
A random guy never prophesied in the old testament that was one of thousands who spread the word of Jesus decades after Jesus passed away.
