Reasons why I'm proud to be a liberal and a Democrat

I love it when these idiotic republicans throw the liberal term at me. They think being liberal is evil. One of my favorite lines from a song I heard recently is "What have you done for me lately."

Here's what liberals have done for America

Because of liberals, African American's have the right to vote
Liberals opposed the Vietnam War
We value freedom of speech
We value separation of church and state
We value EQUAL opportunity for all
We value the working class
We want UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE
We support stricter gun control laws
We support woman's right to choose to have an abortion
We support legal recognition of same-sex marriage
We Support decriminalization of marijuana (and less commonly all illicit substances)

So next time someone says "You liberals" tell them your proud to be one.

Oh and don't forget tax equity where the rich pay their fair share.
