Michael Jackson dead from heart attack (TMZ)
Posted Jun 25th 2009 5:20PM by TMZ Staff

We've just learned Michael Jackson has died. He was 50.

Michael suffered a cardiac arrest earlier this afternoon and paramedics were unable to revive him. We're told when paramedics arrived Jackson had no pulse and they never got a pulse back.

Michael is survived by three children: Michael Joseph Jackson, Jr., Paris Michael Katherine Jackson and Prince "Blanket" Michael Jackson II.

Jackson had 13 number one hits during his solo career.

Story developing...

15. Found not breathing at home
People who have cardiac or respiratory arrest outside the hospital have a very small chance of coming through intact.

2. For real?
:wow:

I knew he wasn't doing too good health-wise, lately...

He revolutionized music, had truckloads of great songs in his prime...

Considering his upbringing, he accomplished a hell of a lot.

It's still unclear if he did molest children, or if he was overly fond of them in some weird protective way because he did not want to see children harmed. Until anything's conclusive, my usual feelings on child molesters can't apply. He was still nuts, but the man was a genius and set trends. Not corporate sponsored wannabe trends. I mean, real trends. He was whacked out at times... but a recipient of being called whacko myself, I can sympathize in ways many can't.

A tragic life, an amazing life, a controversial life... which ended all too soon. :(

6. In this instance, I'd probably trust TMZ.

I'm sure they have people on the payroll at every major hospital in L.A.

I doubt MSNBC does and has to go through the normal channels.

ed: add.

4. This is so weird - both Fawcett and Jackson became known for the
extensive surgery to their bodies. I know that their causes of death are separate from their operations and each cause of death was separate from each other ..... but to have two of them on the same day ....... is interesting.

5. Just told my sons that Jackson is either dead or in bad shape. Weird, my 18 year old was listening
to Thriller today.

7. I also own Thriller. It was a huge hit in our family when it first
came out, kids and adults alike.

8. I loved him as a kid. This is bad news (if true)
And I think the molestation charges were all about money. Which adult in their right mind sends their kids to sleep with famous celebrities (and the last boy was moreso picking on MJ in that last documentary than the other way around).

9. Does Reuters usually use TMZ as a reliable source? Reuters reporting he has died
via the TMZ report.

11. Poor Farrah, poor Ed.
They can't even get a proper send off obit from Larry King...

Iran, Sanford, and now MJ are taking all of the news bandwidth.

God help us if there was a missing white teenage girl right now.

Sigh, RIP Michael, Farrah, Ed.
