India plans hot chilli grenades
Source: BBC

Indian defence scientists are planning to put one of the world's hottest chilli powders into hand grenades.

They say the devices will be used to control rioters and in counter-insurgency operations.

Researchers say the idea is to replace explosives in small hand grenades with a certain variety of red chilli to immobilise people without killing them.

The chilli, known as Bhut Jolokia, is said to be 1,000 times hotter than commonly used kitchen chilli.

Three thirty in the morning,
Not a soul in sight,
The city's lookin' like a ghost town
On a moonless summer night.
Raindrops on the windshield,
There's a storm moving in.
He's headin' back from somewhere
That he never should have been.
And the thunder rolls.
And the thunder rolls.

Every light is burnin'
In a house across town.
She's pacin' by the telephone
In her faded flannel gown.
Askin' for a miracle,
Hopin' she's not right,
Prayin' it's the weather
That's kept him out all night.
And the thunder rolls.
And the thunder rolls.

(Chorus)
The thunder rolls
And the lightnin' strikes.
Another love grows cold
On a sleepless night,
As the storm blows on
Out of control
Deep in her heart
The thunder rolls.

She's waitin' by the window
When he pulls into the drive
She rushes out to hold him
Thankful he's alive
Through all the wind and rain
A strange new perfume blows
And the lightnin' flashes in her eyes
And he knows that she knows
And the thunder rolls
And the thunder rolls

The thunder rolls
And the lightnin' strikes.
Another love grows cold
On a sleepless night,
As the storm blows on
Out of control
Deep in her heart
The thunder rolls.

Moonlight on canvas, midnight and wine
Two shadows starting to softly combine
The picture they're painting
Is one of the heart
And to those who have seen it
It's a true work of art

Oh, the red strokes
Passions uncaged
Thundering moments of tenderness rage
Oh, the red strokes
Tempered and strong (Fearlessly drawn)
Burning the night like the dawn

Steam on the window, salt in a kiss
Two hearts have never pounded like this
Inspired by a vision
That they can't command
Erasing the borders
With each brush of a hand

Oh, the red strokes
Passions uncaged
Thundering moments of tenderness rage
Oh, the red strokes
Tempered and strong (Fearlessly drawn)
Burning the night like the dawn

Oh, the blues will be blue and the jealousies green
But when love picks its shade it demands to be seen

Oh, the red strokes
Passions uncaged
Thundering moments of tenderness rage
Oh, the red strokes
Tempered and strong (Fearlessly drawn)
Burning the night like the dawn

Oh, the red strokes
Passions uncaged
Thundering moments of tenderness rage
Oh, the red strokes
Tempered and strong (Fearlessly drawn)
Burning the night like the dawn

Steam on the window, salt in a kiss
Two hearts have never pounded like this

5. Its sad when people can not run a system well enough for their not to be civil disturbance
Edited on Fri Jun-26-09 02:52 AM by RandomThoughts
Because when most of the opinions and rights of a people are upheld. Societies that are just have far less problems with crowd control, because they do it by the just and kind actions of the entire governing system.

It is the tyrannies of the world that lead to the downward spiral of evil and use repression, deception and violence.

Although eye irritants are better then violence, it is still best to rule with equality and justice. So this is not a comment about India's government.

9. Well I wasn't talking about India,
Edited on Fri Jun-26-09 04:33 AM by RandomThoughts
Was just expressing my view on all societies, which would include India, but not just them. Plus it is just a thought on it.

14. Without judging Garth, I think it is dark side.
Edited on Fri Jun-26-09 06:25 AM by RandomThoughts
Although I think he knows it by his expression in the video. I am by know means saying he thinks that way, maybe just that some people do.

13. Better yet, play it backwards
That way you get your truck back, you get your dog back, you get your wife back and you stop drinking.

OK, it's old. So sue me.

10. Every time I ask for five stars the Indian restaurants go easy on me.
Despite the fact I can handle it. Now I know why. They are saving the chilli for grenades.

11. But.. but... Jolokias taste good!!
What a waste!

(And with people like my partner around -- immune to tear gas and pepper spray, eats jolokias recreationally -- they might just open up the ration pack...)
