SC senator calling for Sanford to resign.

In an interview with CNN's Ali Belchi(sp?). SC state senator Jake Knotts, is calling for Gov. Sanford's resignation, due to financial irregularities surrounding Sanford's trip last year to Argentinia, which was funded by the taxpayers.

The trip, originally scheduled as a Trade junket to Brazil was amended to include a stop in Argentina, at Sanford's request.

When confronted, Sanford offered to repay the state; however, that was not enough to placate Sen. Knox, who equated the Governor's actions to a bank robber, who, when apprehended, offered to give the money back.

This just keeps getting better and better!:rofl: :rofl: :rofl:

This guy abandons his post and attempts to commit expense fraud against the state. And it takes THIS LONG for people to start calling for his resignation???

2. so this guy ASKED for the top in argentina!!! wtf!!! he didn't just happen to be there

and oops, had an affair.... he friggin planned to fit it in an all expense paid trip. Nice!!

3. I posted earlier on another thread that the long knives would come out

as soon as these hypocritical fundies found out his hand was in the till. Cheatin' on the little lady is a time honored republican family value. Robbing the state blind is unforgivable. Never, and I do mean never, get between a repuke and his money.
