He was yielded *4 minutes*, which in the House, is substantial, to speak on ACES.

He has now been speaking for *35 MINUTES*.

He's trying to get people to leave for the weekend on a close vote.

4. Hehe, he looks pretty spry, unfortunately.
And I believe he's reading the entire 1,500 pages.

He just read one page 3 times.

2. That's what a REAL filibuster is.
Once you get the flore you keep speaking. I can remember people getting the floor are reading the damn phone book to keep a filibuster going.

7. Indeed. Problem is, there IS no filibuster in the House.
You're supposed to be able to just call the previous question when debate time is over.

9. Yes, but House rules do not provide for a filibuster.
Slimy orange-man is going on and on using some "leader's time"...which doesn't really exist.

3. Looks like he's reading thru last night's amendment and picking out
disputable items ON EVERY PAGE. He's on Page 46 now. There are over 300 pages in the amendment.

12. Energy efficient and location efficient mortgages?
Requirements that all new buildings have a plug for electric vehicles?

Sorry, it sounds like there is a lot of bullshit in this bill.

16. tip of the iceberg
If you are listening to what he is saying, and if you ever plan on owning anything larger than a computer, this is going to cost you a lot of money.

And whether I like Boehner or not (and I don't) has nothing to do with what he is saying.

He's right. This is bad legislation.
