2. It never ends! This obsession will probably eat up "the news" for the entire weekend save for
a few of the Sunday Morning Politico shows.

7. LOL, Yes, I look forward to this discussion on "Meet the Press"
And yet, we take these MEDIA clowns seriously ... telling us the news when they can't cover more than ONE STORY at a time?

9. Looks like FAUX isn't wasting any time broadcasting their agenda
Or, I should say, their propaganda...

Damn, too bad MSNBC doesn't value their own regular shows more than that. Right now they're only competing with CNN.

3. You cannot escape it.
I turned it off.

I think they thought the report of the cause of death would break while Tweety was on air, but it got pushed back.

My guess is lots of drugs leading to heart failure.

Guy is still just as dead.

if there is breaking news on MJ's death. I shut it off. I guess I don't need to hear if there was any damage from the severe thunder storms or if we are going to get more. Its more important that I know what MJ died off I guess.

I could see if it were an ex-president or a world leader but when all is said and done, regardless of the level of his talent, MJ was just a pop star, like Elvis was just a rock star. I guess I just don't get while all other news is just pushed aside in the media, for round the clock coverage of ANY celebrity's death. Its sad yes, but so are all the other deaths that happen every where every day.

I have favorite celebs too, and yes I would stop and be sad for a few minutes, if they passed, but no one entertainer is IMHO worthy of all this round the clock media coverage that is going on.

11. My theory is that the MSM is not particularly left or right.
It's lazy and distracted by shiny objects especially sex and death.

I look forward to Ed and it's a bummer. I don't mind them covering say, the press conference that just happened, but we don't need an hour leading up to it and an hour of commentary after it. There are more important issues to be sure.

13. They're just repeating the same thing over and over and over!
There is only a few minutes of news to this story, which could be followed by "we're waiting for the results of the toxicologist's report. And in other news....."

This is insane. I thought Ed would cover some stories with more substance.

for the next week.

CNN and MSNBC should return to covering climate change, health care, the economy, other world news.

However, now, time to ship them off.

after a while, time to move 'em. They started doing that with the Susan Boyle threads. Hey, where's that flash in the pan? After all the hoopla?

19. On his radio show, he said he probably had to. Either he could do
Michael Jackson or someone else would do it for him, but it would be about Jackson. KO is also doing Jackson. Apparently the producers have made that decision.
