Years ago, during the Clinton/Lewinsky scandal, Rush Limbaugh was in the forefront of those criticizing Clinton because -- he said then -- honesty and integrity, even in small matters, were essential for the effective functioning of such a high political office.

This week, while the press was exposing governor Sanford's scandalous affair, Rush Limbaugh... blamed Obama for pushing Sanford into it.

At what point does Rush's hypocrisy start to reflect badly on his supporters? (Does Rush have any supporters?)

Comparing the Clennis to Stanford is an interesting study in how far the GOOP has fallen off its high horse and how stupid both the corporate media is and they think you are.

Remember, rushpublicans live in a bubbleworld where anything and everything can be explained away...no accounting, responsibility or reality needed. They're quick to revise history or come up with some "moral equivelent" or "plausible deniability"...either the story is being smeared by the "librul media" or that "all politicians do it". As long as they can find an excuse...no matter how absurd or hypocritical it is, they'll grab it.

Integrity never mattered...power does. The "integrity" game was always bullshit...part of the GOOP big lies they threw around for decades. What destroyed the myth was the reality of 8 years of georgie boooosh and his "compasionate conservativism"...the fraud was exposed and all that's left are the snakeoil salesmen.
