they know everytime they do that the liberal blogsphere and message boards go wild. Sometimes I can't help but think they do it JUST to get a rise out of us.

2. I am sure that is a big part of the reason.

I think the other big part of the reason is to fool people into thinking Republican abuses are actually Democratic abuses. There is no doubt though that they do like to piss us off at every opportunity so I am sure they pat themselves on the back when we get on their case. Even if they do get off on this kind of thing though it is still important to expose them because it does help to discredit them among the public at large.
