11. I dunno.
When they had him on to introduce his show some time ago he was also speaking rather fast. I've got to admit its a bit jarring first thing in the morning. Relaxing would be good. But I love the topics. I may have to DVR it.

9. I've rarely heard this discussion.
I wonder how much of our health care costs is attributable to overprescribing?

Interesting.

10. Well...I am a bit surprised...
Dylan got on my nerves with his constant chatter when he was a guest on Morning Joke but so far, I have found his show to be interesting. Having Elliot Spitzer, who does know Wall Street and a good discussion on health care and drugs...well, who knew. I still think he will grate on the nerves after a while but maybe we might get a decent show with real info and discussion. I won't hold my breath...will just wait for Big Eddie, Keith, and Rachel...with a bit of Chris!

18. Ratigan's GOTTA stop saying "Shirley"
Edited on Mon Jun-29-09 08:41 AM by PCIntern
as in "...Shirley you jest."

Broadcast pros always pronounce it 'Shyoorlee' and he's not 'pretty' enough to be a complete airhead. Well, he's ALMOST pretty enough.

33. When he was on The Ed Show last week, he sounded Repub
I think they were talking about Health Care Reform and Ed got kind of frustrated with Ratigan.

Here is an article about that appearance with a video of it:

23. I am REALLY liking that they throw up the bonafides of the guy speaking..
Edited on Mon Jun-29-09 08:44 AM by annabanana
What he belongs to, who he works for etc.. right up there on the screen.

edit.. I don't think I've ever seen it pointed up so clearly before. Knowing where someone's coming from speaks volumes when you listen to what he says....

32. I've always liked him on Morning Joe - he's a lot more fact based than most
and can hold his own with people of both political persuasions. He is hard to pin down, himself, which I personally like. I have heard him voice both liberal and conservative views, but on differing topics. Once on Morning Joe he said something like " I think people like me, (meaning wealthy) SHOULD pay more in taxes." I thought Joe S was going to fall off his seat in a swoon.

He had a messy on-air firing from CNBC, you can google it, when he dissed the CNBC head of programming on-air.

He is no corporate apologist for big business, which I also like. I have high hopes for this show being actually interesting and informative, something we haven't had for a long time
