Eliot Spitzer is on MSNBC having a great time....
Edited on Mon Jun-29-09 08:52 AM by walkaway
He is on a panel discussion show and he is being smart and liberal. It's so nice to see him. I really hope this is just the beginning of his road back. New York is falling apart without him. What a mistake to let him go. This was a governor who really cared about the people of his state unlike Sanford who was willing to step on the people of S.C. on his way to the top.

1. Why do Democrats seem to resign in these situations
while, Republicans hang on to thunderous applause? And, is Bill Clinton not resigning a reason Republicans hate him so much?

2. Individual cases are different. Spitzer broke the law, end of story.
Sanford did not. Larry Craig did. etc.

3. Sanford may have broken laws
Adding Argentina to a business trip at taxpayer's expense... plus, adultery is illegal in South Carolina.

5. He didn't commit adultery in SC
Ad it's not enforced anyway. Let someone bring charges for the Argentina trip and we'll see what happens.

8. That remains to be seen.
As they continue to investigate his use of public funds for private life.

4. Because he broke the law
And he would have been prosecuted if he didn't step down.

9. According to Ann Coulter yesterday
"It was so long ago and his wife forgave him, so it's all ok." *gag*

Though I'm not sure if they were given the same choice between their job and jail. I'm happy Spitzer resigned and I live in NY.

6. Who is this new MSNBC guy? I think they have given him the morning slot
I turned away because he kept interrupting Spitzer and injecting what seemed to be GOP talking points. Or was that my pre-coffee morning haze?
