Abu Ghraib scandal haunts W.Va. reservist
KEYSER, W.Va. - More than two years since leaving her prison cell, the woman who became the grinning face of the Abu Ghraib prisoner abuse scandal spends most of her days confined to the four walls of her home.

Former Army reservist Lynndie England hasn't landed a job in numerous tries: When one restaurant manager considered hiring her, other employees threatened to quit.

She doesn't like to travel: Strangers point and whisper, "That's her!"

1. Before anybody feels sorry for her,
watch this film, and then see what you think:

2. I didn't watch it, but don't you think she was an ignorant tool?
I know she's not too bright, but she did what she was told to do, with glee.

4. I felt sorry for her, too, seeing
her as a young country girl, not too bright, doing what the Big Boys were doing.

Then I watched "Standard Operating Procedure" (at the behest of a friend who is a Marine Lt. Col., Gulf War veteran), and I no longer felt sorry for her.

Not at all.................

3. Maybe she could become a dominatrix
since she seems to have some experience with that kind of behavior, though she still might be too much of a bowwow.

5. would you want to hire someone who has absolutely no ability to discern...

...right from wrong? Someone who has demonstrated an utter inability to recognize human morality, or at least complete willingness to ignore it for expediency? Hmm..., maybe the CIA has a position for her....

No, I don't have much sympathy for the grinning ghoul of Abu Ghraib. She needs to do something pretty substantial to redeem her karma, IMO.

6. Not only that
but allowed pictures to be taken of her and her misdeeds.

7. On an NPR Interview yesterday it sounded like she was madly in love
with a camera freak and she let him put her in his obsessive picture taking. Together they didn't have enough of an upbringing to know rights from wrongs. Perhaps their behavior was aided by drugs - they both seemed very pompous just like Rumsfeld, Cheney, Bush and many, many more. The ultimate in arrogance. Someone should write a book about the breadth of arrogance in the first nine years of the 21st Century.
