Bush Flunky Ari Fleischer Afraid He'd Get The Death Penalty
From Kevin Drum's Washington Monthly Blog:

So why did Ari Fleischer agree to spill his guts in the
Scooter Libby trial in return for immunity from prosecution?
Slate's Seth Stevenson reports from the courtroom:

Turns out Fleischer saw a story in the Washington Post
suggesting that anyone who revealed Valerie Plame's identity
might be subject to the death penalty. And he freaked.

1. Ha. Yes, it's true.
Treason = Death Penalty.

No, Ari I don't want to see you die. You're a small fish. I want to see your bosses go the way of Saddam - in fact I think Saddam got it easy. Their executions should be on TV, and just to piss off the extreme right - the moment they are executed for high treason Democrats should outlaw the Death Penalty. America's worst criminals get a fitting punishment right before it gets outlawed.

3. Yeah. You really can't beat Libby's Lawyers opening...
Yeah. You really can't beat Libby's Lawyers opening which boiled down basically to, "Noooo! You've got the wrong man! It was all Karl's Fault!"

LOL. The real funny part is the trial isn't about who the leaker is, but whether or not Libby is guilty for lying to the feds.

Ah, I love this. It couldn't have happened to a better group of criminals.
