The same way that Fox actually is an arm of the RNC, MSNBC is allegedly a liberal-slanted news organization.
My point was that the discussion was not balanced. Morning Joe usually has Joe (RW Republican), Mika (supposedly liberal, but actually conservative on most issues), Mike (read Mika), Willie (not usually political, but conservative on most issues), and Pat Buchannan (nationalistic archconservative). Originally, there was balanced discussion, and I enjoyed it, but Mika and Mike have slowly shifted to become Joe Scarburough apologists. They agree with him, and defend him by saying "I'm a liberal and I agree with Joe!"
And today there was Mike Barnacle and Donny Deutsch (both supposedly left-of-center) and two far-right idiots. The most liberal of the four, Deutsch, proposed that the CIA should have assassination squads and shouldn't notify Congress about it. The other three agreed wholeheartedly. That's not discussion. That's not debate. I would welcome debate!
My point is that even on the most liberal cable channel (and I would argue that it is the most liberal in general), there is still a panel of 4 people ranging from right-of-center to very-far-right. Not a single liberal counterbalance.
Without Lawrence O'Donnell showing up in the last hour, I literally could have gotten more balanced debate from Fox & Friends. If MSNBC is going to take all the garbage about being leftist, why not follow through on it and have a decent morning show with left and right represented? Morning Larry (with Joe, Pat, and Mika).
