Why can't they just have Sotomayor make a statement and then let the questioning begin? I said in another thread that she's got 17 years of decisions and opinions on the record, they've had how much time now to pick through her decisions. Question her on whatever decisions & opinions don't follow the law. If you've got nothing, then STFU!!

No matter how they plan to vote, they want to get up in front of the cameras, especially for a situation like this that is being carried live.
