C-Span caller: As a white person, I believe that a white man makes a better president

than a black man. I am not a bigot. I just have pride in my race. Oh, and whites are smarter than blacks, but I'm NOT a bigot.

Bigots never recognize that they're bigots. The most naked bigotry such as that exhibited by the above caller, is simply misunderstood.

9. Manatees are adorable as far as I'm concerned, one of my favorite animals.

In Florida you can bait them out towards your house by the water by running cold fresh water into the intercostal , at which point they like to be pet and given heads of lettuce.

Adorable big creatures, incredibly curious and I believe photogenic.

And I hate it when KO called Sean Insannity, "The Manatee." I get that it rhymes, but manatees are far more intelligent, friendly and attractive than that big lump who takes up far too much time on Faux and the radio.

and the ignorance & stupidity never ceases to amaze me. I just e-mailed a friend that I just can't stand "conservatives" anymore. I was happy to hear the caller who told repubs "If you want YOUR nominees on the court, then you have to win the presidency. You lost, too bad". Unfortunately, those kinds of calls are few & far between each morning.

I just wish more of our elected leaders would express that sentiment. I'm so sick and tired of hearing about the republican point of view. They lost, they're not in charge, they don't matter.

Grassley just acknowledged Sotomayor's 17 years of judicial experience, but said that's not the only criteria for being on the Supreme Court! WTF? He's lecturing about judges making policy. Hey assholes, she's got 17 years of decisions & opinions out there. They've had how long now to pick her record apart? If she's a serial "policy maker", state the specific cases that make your point. Why does C-SPAN continue to allow itself to be used as a propaganda vehicle for the right?

I do remember one time a woman called in saying Obama was Muslim and wasn't born in the United States. The host corrected her saying that they had check it out and Obama is a Christian and was born in Hawaii. The caller went ballistic over the nerve of the host correcting her. She complained that they never question what the Democrat callers say. She didn't argue that what she said was factually true nor did she even pretend that it was. In fact, she clearly left the impression she knew it was BS, but was only mad because she wasn't allowed to use C-SPAN as her propaganda megaphone.
