1. I'm not laughing.
But then again, any ticket that has Gore at the top is a winner to me. And Kucinich would be a WONDERFUL person to elevate like that.

7. Way to stand on principle, election results be-damned
There is no room for crass political reality in our utopian DU world. Hell forget Gore, let's all get behind the Kucinich/Bernie Sanders ticket or the Barney Frank/Sheila Jackson Lee ticket. Now I don't mean to disparage your principles or these fine folks. They are good people. They also have about the same chance of being elected to national office as I do. What exactly would the roaming gnome from Cleveland bring to the table that would make more (not less, see less would be bad) people vote for the Democratic ticket, other than he shares your (and mine for that matter) position on quite a few specific issues? If that is a dream ticket, I don't want to know how the dream ends.

15. Good government. Dennis would bring good government to the table. Of
course American voters are just to dumb for that, only smart people like us could ever see the point in good government.

17. I guess there are two ways to take "Dream Ticket"
If it is his or her dream ticket in that he or she dreams that we lived in a country where Dennis K could hold national office, then more power to them. That is a good dream. If it is a dream ticket in that this is ticket this person dreams of because it is the one that is most likely to win (which is how I took it)then that is a crazy dream. I am still hayseed enough to think that winning is better than losing.

23. I think he was referring to the former not the latter....I believe he was
saying if he could magically pick his dream team, it would be Gore & Dennis K.

Not that he's dreaming they may have a chance to win.

32. There is no harm in anybody's 'Dream' ticket either way.
You were swinging a pretty damn big hammer there in your efforts to smash what you perceive to be idealistic opinions. Since Gore is technically not running right now, ANY ticket including him is a 'dream' ticket. And Kucinich is looking more 'electable' all the time in comparison with the people they are dredging up on the other side.

Gore ought to the the consensus "Dream Candidate", it is the quirky little man from Cleveland that any person who is honest must admit has no chance to win national office.

50. But it's not just about issues...
it's about personality, character, likeability, and a host of other factors.

Frankly, I just don't even understand this pairing. What do Gore and Kucinich have in common, politically?

Gore was a very moderate senator, in the DLC, was the Clinton point-man on NAFTA (remember him debating Ross Perot on national TV?). I don't understand people who abhor the Clintons, but love Gore. They're very very similar in their views: far more similar than Gore and Kucinich.

22. Gore won in 2000. SCOTUS took it away and gave it to

the Pretender.

Gore has the most experience of anyone we could run, having been VP for 8 years plus 12 years in the Senate, if I recall correctly.

Bill Richardson could also win, being a governor with Cabinet experience, etc.

Kucinich is a progressive, making for a ticket that looks more like a Democratic ticket.

20. I've been thinking of it, too.

They balance each other well. Gores's a Southerner, Kucinich's a Midwesterner, thus appealing to states in both regions that we need to take back. Lots more to be said about why this would be the dream ticket.

34. I'd love it.
I'm always saying that my biggest pet peeve with my party is continually playing the defensive in terms of the candidates we choose and how things are run. We don't need to do that. WE'RE THE ONES WHO ARE RIGHT! We need to be strong and pick strong candidates that support our ideals instead of compromising over and over.
