Take away the free, taxpayer provided health care given to Sens and Reps and see
how fast something will get done. What happened to that "Cheney Care" group? Haven't heard from them in a while.

3. GIVE THIS UP, please, and stick to facts.
Senators and Representatives DO NOT HAVE FREE HEALTH CARE.

They have the same options as other Federal employees. They pay premiums, and the government pays a portion of the premium.

9. And where does the government get its money
(in theory at least)?

Yup, they've got free health care provided by the tax payers, not just the insurance, but the health clinic in the Capital Building that is run by the Navy (?)

7. you'll probably get a veto from the guy whose only time he didn't use socialized health care
was between when he crashed his jet and when he denounced the United States (under what Bush does not define as "torture" because his organs didn't fail) ... John McCain ...

8. A whole lot of Sens and Reps would fall into the category
of those who are not offered insurance at any price because of age and/or pre-existing conditions. Let them sell a few of their houses for chemo and see how it feels.
