A little rant

For us, by us.

Not for profit. National and local.

Military, police, firefighters, hospitals for our military people, post office, defense industry (private and for profit, but with a ton of government oversight), parks, roads, NASA, FDA, CIA, FBI, Homeland Security, feel free to add the many more there exists to the list.

Either directly or indirectly we run a lot of programs - for us all. Really poor? You can still have the military defend you.

We come together as a people to pay for and provide services we all benefit from - and outside of all that we have the freedom to run our own businesses for profit and make money. We all chip in for schools, etc and so on, that we all can partake of because it is best for us to pool our resources for the benefit of all. Not just those who can afford it.

Health care - we already have government funded health care for our military, and I don't hear the right bitching that it is socialism.

And like with the post office (semi-independent federal agency) we have private competing companies. We can have both.

States have National Guards, but on a national level we have several branches of military. States can offer their own health plan, and we can have a national one, AND we can have private companies offering it too.

Capitalism? Well - we the people want to start our own health care plan, our money, and if you can do better compete with US. Your taxes pay for schools, and yet there are plenty of private ones out there too.

Quit your bitching, people are sick and need us to do what we want our military to do - protect us.

Thing is the people I know who have died have been from a foreign power but because of health issues.

Which one not only poses a grave danger but is also right now hurting the people you pro-lifers say you want to protect?

Have your private for profit industry, no one is stopping you, just shut up already and let we the people do what we need to protect the people most needing it.
