The President had a mandate, and a majority.

Now he's got a super-majority.

Why should we compromise on anything? Who fuckin' cares what republicans think?

If it had been branded properly as Medicare for All, the only debate would have been how to pay for it.

In this era of making a bottomless wishing well available to rescue banks, this much narrower debate should have been an easy fight to win.

Start branding it properly, and have another run at it.

we were unable to or incapable of countering their actions. We were unable to mobilize the american people in support of the reform effort.
