hit papers, editorials, whatever and put the blame squarely where it belongs. These bums do not deserve our votes. I would also push and push like hell, if public option is not included, serious consideration should be made to deny every GD congress critter and senator their health coverage. Insurance companies to be regulated.

1. No. Blame our own party and ourselves.
Our party did not fight for us. Many of us did not fight for ourselves. Kucinich and Conyers can't move mountains alone. If our elected "representatives" aren't forced to fight for us, they will roll over and give the farm away to lobbyists every time.

2. Disgusting isn't it? Never thought the day would come when I'd be
so "over" my government or my party or for that matter, my President. Right now I'm over the entire mess...

8. I'll give them credit for what they've done to reverse many Bush things, etc.
But I don't plan on giving them another PENNY.

(to Dem leaders): When (if) I'm dropped by my insurer, lose my house and declare bankruptcy or get ready to kill myself wanting to insulate my family from medical bills, I'll be thinking of who YOU stood up for...

3. I will blame the Democratic leadership.
I hope the public option as it is currently designed (requiring the uninsured to buy insurance) does fail. I blame the leadership for spinelessness. Despite the fact that most Americans want a single payer system, they caved to the insurance lobby and tried to give us mandatory insurance instead.

They deserve for their plans to fail. They deserve to be punished for catering to corporate America. I hope to insure that the currently-configured public option fails. Doing nothing would be better than to pass any of the bills currently circulating through congress (except H 676, of course).

6. I preach this all the time but we all have to make our voices heard.
Send emails and call your representatives...even if they seem to be on our side. The more they hear from us the more they'll know how important this issue is. They need to know that we're paying attention.

Health care industry and other corporate interests.

5. Even with the public option I was very iffy on the subject. Single payor is the only way to go.

But no public option?

The blue dogs need to be taken behind the woodshed and we need to empty their pockets of all that lobbyist money.

9. Everyone in this good post has ignored what you said: that we need to CONTACT these people!
We need to contact them and let them know we disagree and disapprove and want them to have no health care.

12. Read some of my posts..
I *never* fly off the handle or lose my cool although I am sarcastic from time to time.

The thing is, everyone hates Congress in general but they usually like their own Congresscritter, the disparity is really quite astonishing.

Incumbents have a huge advantage and districts have been gerrymandered exactly to that end.
